Protein Shakes and The Gym

Yes, girls go to the gym too, I know, I know. But do you reallllllllllly look at what they do? StairMaster... for three hours. I'm not an expert on the gym, but don't you go there to actually work out everything besides your legs? The worst part is when girls wear make-up to the gym. Why do you want to look like a gross sweaty raccoon by the end of your 'epic stairmaster climb'?

Gyms are awesome, if you go there for actual reasons. My favorite will forever be the leg press. Mostly because I hate StairMaster's and think there are way better ways to work out your legs, but because guys look at you and think "why is that toothpick going on that machine?" It's fun. I'll forever be against working out my back, due to when I hurt myself. I had no idea what I was doing, and neither did my personal trainer.

Protein shakes are also a necessary thing if you go to the gym more than once every two weeks. If I recommend anything, it's to NEVER go to GNC for anything, except if it's a last resort. They have no idea what their doing. They tried to put me on Mutant Mass. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a weight gainer. One serving is 1000 calories (but that's four scoops of powder). I don't need to gain weight, unless I decide one day "Hey, you know what I should do? Grow male genitals and try out for Mr. Universe because I have weight gainer protein powder." No. I won't do that, why would I need a weight gainer? I don't.

GNC, get it together. You're making Wal-Mart employees look like they know what their doing.

Amnesia

If you're one of the lucky people who know what Amnesia is, then you should know why I want to forget this experience. I was one of the many who have attempted to play Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Before I go any further for those of you who do not know what this game is, you're a character who drank an amnesia potion, and left yourself a note to kill Alexander the Great. You have to travel around a castle, and you have no weapons... only a lantern. There are plenty of monsters around the castle that try (and a lot of the time succeed) with killing you.

If this makes no sense at all, here is a short video on the lore of Amnesia:

Now even though I have only played through roughly 1/3 of the game, I have watched many of my friends attempt the game. Most of them have finished it, and only wet themselves twice. The game tells you at the very beginning to play in a dark room, with no lights, and headphones on. It's a very scary game, and messes with your emotions quite terribly.

The game is definitely not meant for the weak, such as myself. I scream far too often when I play this game that I was actually put on a stream to show how much of a pansy I am. You can click here to watch me screaming like a pansy, although you might want to skip a bit into it.

Although the game is very well put together and is extremely scary, I actually highly recommend playing it. It's a lot of fun when you look back on it, but when you're playing it you just want it to be over. It is more fun watching your friends play, because then you can laugh at them. You should try it out, but just know that I warned you when I said it was scary!

Back to those 0's & 1's

It's never come across my mind until about three years ago, that people are shocked to find out that a girl plays video games. Not the kind of girl that says "Oh yeah, I play Cooking Mama!" No, the kind of girl that says "I was going to eat supper, but then got swept away in those minions attacking my base...and now it's 3am!"

I'm one of those types of girls, and lately I've been seeing a lot more girls become gamers. Actually, I'm a little happy because now I don't have to talk about shoes and 'what joebob did over the summer'. So mainly, this whole blog is dedicated to video games, but also "guy-type" things, from a girl point of view.

Now you see, before I go further, when I was growing up my brother (who is two years younger than me) we were/still are very close. So I like everything boy related, and he likes everything girl related. Also, nobody get on my back about "cars and sports aren't just for guys, girls like it too!" Yes, yes, yes. I know they do, but girls like to go with their boyfriends, and make them buy them drinks... That's for a whole other rant.

Back to the main point, everything is mostly "guy related". Video games, sports, cars.... The whole shebang. If you're intrigued and I made you raise an eyebrow or two, come back often! I'll update as much as I can :)
